ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON – ARREST C10-248878
On October 30, 2010 at approximately 3:20 a.m., Uniform members observed a male causing a disturbance in the area of the 600 block of Stella Avenue.
As a result, officers attempted to make contact with the male in order to confirm his well-being. Upon officers approaching, the male fled inside a residence. A short time later, the male confronted officers while armed with a knife. The suspect advanced towards officers and refused to comply with repeated verbal commands.
An electronic control device was deployed and the suspect was safely taken into custody.
A 48 year old male has been charged with: Assault with a Weapon x 2 and Breach Probation.
He has been detained at the Provincial Remand Centre.
