100 Blk St Anthony B&E Sept 26 - Some Arrests

RESIDENTIAL BREAK AND ENTER- ARRESTS   C10-220321
On September 26th, 2010 between the hours of 3:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m., a yet to be arrested male youth entered the residence in the 100 block of St Anthony Avenue, through an insecure door.  Once inside this male allegedly proceeded to steal assorted electronic equipment as well as keys to a 2009 Ford SUV. 
 
This yet to be arrested male, picked up a 17 year old male and two 16 year old males who rode in this stolen vehicle.  This vehicle, which had sustained damage, was later located later abandoned in the area.
 
This group of males re-attended the above noted residence where they proceeded to steal further electronics from the home. The occupants of the home were awoken and the youths fled the scene on foot. 
 
Later in the morning this same group of males attended to a rear yard of a residence in the 200 block of Hartford Avenue where they entered a detached garage. An observant homeowner spotted the males and gave chase after them.   
 
The commotion came to the attention of Division 13 Uniform officers who were retiring from their Night-shift and joined in the chase.   Further Division 13 Officers assisted and as a result three male youths were apprehended in the area of the District 3 station.
                               
 A 17 year old male and two 16 year old males are facing a number of charges including:
 
-          Break and Enter Residential
-          Joyriding
-          Failing to comply with Court Orders
-          Possess of Property Obtained by Crime Over
-          Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under
 
Both 16 year old males have been detained in custody, while the 17 year old male has been released on a Promise to Appear.
 
One male is still currently outstanding.  This investigation is continuing by members of the Division 13 Crime Unit.
