SERIOUS SEXUAL ASSAULT C10-240052
On October 19, 2010, members of the Winnipeg Police Service entered into an investigation regarding a serious sexual assault.
The investigation has revealed that on October 19th between 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. a 24 year old female began walking home in the area of Dublin Avenue and Route 90 after attending a house party.
It was at this time a semi-tractor (no trailer) pulled up along side the female and began engaging in a conversation through the passenger window, ultimately offering her a ride. The victim declined the offer and the suspect exited the vehicle. She was pulled into the cab and forced into the rear of the vehicle. The suspect drove a short distance, to the area of Stevenson Road where the serious sexual assault occurred.
The victim managed to flee to a nearby business where family and police were notified.
The suspect is described as: Male, Aboriginal in appearance, late 30’s – early 40’s, large build, salt and pepper short hair, bushy eyebrows, scruffy facial hair, crease or scar on left cheek area, acne scars and a large faded tattoo on left forearm.
He is described as wearing: a lighter short sleeve shirt and jeans.
Suspect vehicle: White semi-truck (cab) with no trailer. Possibly a Volvo.
