HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION – UPDATE C10-232651
As previously released, on Sunday, October 10, 2010 at approximately 4:20 a.m., Winnipeg Police Service Uniform Members along with Emergency Services Personnel responded to a report of a shooting that had occurred in the 600 block of Selkirk Avenue.
Upon arrival, police located an injured 21 year old female identified as Tiffany JOHNSTON, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. She was transported to the hospital in critical condition where she succumbed to injuries sustained.
The investigation has revealed that the victim was visiting at a residence after which time she began walking from the front porch to the rear of the residence. It was at this time she fell victim.
The investigation is continuing by members of the Homicide Unit. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact investigators at 986-6508 or CrimeStoppers at 786-TIPS (8477).
