HOMICIDE INVESTIGATIONS C10-243706 C10-243720 C10-243740
On October 23, 2010 between approximately 8:40 p.m. and 9:15 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to three separate shooting incidents located in the William Whyte area of Winnipeg.
The incidents occurred at or near the following locations:
· 200 block of Stella Walk
· 400 block of Dufferin Avenue
· 400 block of Boyd Avenue
As a result, two adult males and one female youth sustained gunshot wounds to the upper body. The two adult males have since succumbed to injuries sustained and the female youth remains in hospital in critical condition.
Members of the Homicide Unit and Major Crimes Unit continue to investigate. The identity of the adult male victim involved in the Dufferin Avenue incident has not yet been confirmed.
No arrest(s) have been made at this time. The individual(s) responsible remain at large.
It should be noted that investigators have yet to confirm an association between all three incidents. Numerous police resources are continuing to gather evidence and the search for the suspect(s) involved remains a high priority.
