SCHEDULE OF WORKSHOPS
Nov. 30 - Dec. 1, 2010 Pathways to Partnerships: Supporting At-risk Parents
All workshops will be held at the Marlborough Hotel, 331 Smith St.
from 9:00am to 4:00pm .
Note: Organizations are encouraged to send more than one participant to increase their potential for implementing the strategies that they learn in the workshops. Organizations that deliver services to youth are encouraged to register youth participants along with their mentors/caregivers.
Sept. 28-29 Workshop Description: Helping Children Through Grief and Loss
In this workshop participants will examine how the developmental stages of childhood determine how children and youth experience and express grief, and how caregivers can adjust their responses accordingly. This workshop will include teachings, some of it based on Western child development theory and therapy practice. The emphasis will be on group learning through storytelling and exercises.
