RESIDENTIAL ROBBERY ARREST C10-136862
On June 21, 2010 at approximately 1:25 a.m., Uniform members were dispatched to residence in the 900 block of Manitoba Avenue regarding a residential robbery which had just occurred.
The investigation has revealed that two male suspects forced entry into the home at which time they proceeded to gather electronic equipment. It was at this time the occupants of the home confronted the suspects. One of the suspects fled the residence with the stolen property making good his escape. The second suspect produced a knife and attempted to stab one of the occupants while a second occupant attempted to intervene. The suspect made another attempt to stab the second victim. The suspect was eventually disarmed and held until police arrival.
Attending members arrested a 19 year old male at the scene. He is facing the following charges: Break & Enter, Theft under $5000.00, Assault with a Weapon x 2 and Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose.
He has detained in custody.
The investigation is continuing.
