MALE WANTED ON CANADA WIDE WARRANT C09-135379
In June 2009, three armed suspects attended to a residence in the 900 block of Westminster Avenue. They forced their way inside and assaulted a 22 year old male resident. As result the victim suffered multiple injuries to his upper and lower body.
A lengthy investigation was implemented by the Organized Crime Unit and as result a Canada Wide Warrant was issued for Joel Gary Geddes, 26 yrs, of Winnipeg and Shane David Ferguson, 26yrs, of Winnipeg.
On July 2, 2010 the accused Joel Gary Geddes, was arrested in Swift Current Saskatchewan on the strength of the Canada Wide Warrant by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
Winnipeg Police are asking for the public’s assistance with the whereabouts of the suspect Shane David Ferguson. Ferguson is described as White male, 5’8”, 220 lbs, heavy build, brown hair, and brown eyes.
In addition Investigators are of the opinion a third male suspect may be involved in this incident.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Shane David Ferguson, or has any further information regarding this incident, is asked to call Winnipeg Police at 986-6222 or Crime Stoppers at 786-TIPS (8477)
Members of the public are advised that if they see Shane David Ferguson, they are not to approach this male as he is considered to be dangerous.
