Winnipeg Public Library has recently hired Lindsay Schluter for the newly created position of Youth Services Librarian, Programs and Services.
One of her projects is to forge stronger links with community organisations across the city including Parent-Child Coalitions like FACT.
Because Monique Woroniak and I, here at Outreach Services already enjoy a relationship with FACT, we will continue to be Winnipeg Public Library’s liaison with you, while Lindsay will coordinate with our neighbourhood branches to strengthen relationships with the other Parent-Child Coalitions.
Summer is always a busy time; here are some great ways to stay in touch with Winnipeg Public Library:
What’s on @ the Library?
ü Take a look at the library’s latest newsletter, @ the Library, which has information about all of our summer programming, including Family Literacy Fun Days and the TD Summer Reading Club. This newsletter is published once every 2 months, and can be viewed online.
ü If you’re interested in receiving e-mails about WPL events, you’re more than welcome to join one of our mailing lists. Our Children’s Program list provides updates about the latest storytimes & special events. The library’s newsletter list will notify you when the library’s latest newsletter is ready for download. These lists are a great way to stay in touch with what is going on at the library in your community.
ü Our website also has a number of tools and features that might be of interest to your community. If your organisation has a website, you might consider adding a link to ours.
